CV and letter of motivation - how much creativity is allowed?

Well-structured application documents will open the door to your career. The first contact with the company of your choice is usually established in two documents: CV and letter of motivation. Companies get everything they need to know from there in order to find the perfect candidate for open vacancies. Your goal as an applicant is to stand out from the vast numbers of applications and to draw attention to your strengths and competences.
 

Content and goals

The "Application Documents" seminar will teach you all you need to know concerning the optimum design of your written application. Besides the structured design of your CV and the presentation of content in your letter of motivation, special attention is also paid to the individuality and creativity of your application.
 

Setting/methods

The seminar will be held by one of our experts.

Contents (2.5 hours):

  • What should the structure of the CV look like?
  • What should a letter of motivation contain?
  • What do's and dont's are there in the application process?
  • How much creativity is allowed in an application?
  • How can Social Media (activities) support your application?
     

Note: Please bring along a copy of the application documents you have used so far.


Language

The seminar will be held in German.
 

Cost

36,--  Euro for students and graduates of WU.
72,--  Euro for students and graduates of another university or technical college.

In the first four weeks after this training you can book the individual counselling Documents Check for only 15,--/40,-- Euro (instead of 25,--/50,-- Euro).

Target group

Students from their first semester on, graduates and young professionals with up to five years of job experience.
 

Procedure

After you register, you will get a confirmation showing the terms of registration and participation. The fee for this seminar is payable in advance. Please note that you will be charged for appointments that are not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance!
